Roland FP7 DEMO Exclusive Offer! Digital Piano with Session Partner
"As a friend of mine said to me: "You have a piano of the twenty-first century." When I told you: "The Roland action is much to my liking," I meant that it has a very good feel and that its recovery is quite good, meaning rapid repetition of the same note. It is rare that very rapid playing fails to get a response from the keyboard. I paid you $1,800 for my piano (with case and stand). In the LA Times
recently were two Steinways, a 1998 "M" for $29,000 and a 1960 Hamburg "D" for $65,000. I think I got the best deal." - Channing, CA

What does "DEMO" mean?... Typically, a DEMO unit is one that has been briefly used in our demonstration studio by Kraft Music team members. These units are often used for exclusive Kraft Music video demonstrations, or are made available for product training. Please keep in mind that these instruments are not available to the general public, and are only played by the professionals here at Kraft Music. These instruments are guaranteed to arrive in like-new condition, after being carefully repackaged by our staff. You will still receive a FULL FACTORY WARRANTY, and Kraft Music backs each DEMO unit with our exclusive 20/20 Guarantee. Add in the heavily discounted price, and you have a fantastic buying opportunity.
Roland's FP-series of digital pianos have always been a favorite around Kraft Music. While the piano players in the shop like to sit down and simply play piano, they also like to have some fun and play to a "groove." Unlike most other digital pianos, the FP7 can do both. You have your choice...turn the FP7 on, and it defaults to a brand new, gorgeous grand piano tone (Roland spent a good deal of time reproducing the sound of an acoustic piano, as the sound now includes hammer and damper noise, and string and key-off resonance). Or, start Roland's Session Partner, and you're jamming with a full band...drums, bass, horns, strings and more. You can't help but smile!
The specs of the FP7 are impressive: 128 note polyphony, a progressive hammer action, USB, 339 different tones, and more. Here's what really separates it from the pack:
A Concert Grand Tone...While all of the available digital pianos have tones that try to mirror that of a grand piano, the FP7 does sound authentic. Even simply pressing the sustain pedal down creates a subtle "damper noise." Play a key, and you'll be impressed with how dynamic it is. Want to fine tune your piano sound to your taste? A 4-band Equalizer is there for you to edit, as are several different reverbs and effects.
Audio Key Feature that allows you to play back audio files...This is a tremendous feature that Roland has made really easy. What is the Audio Key Feature? It works like this: take any audio file (.wav file) that exists on your computer and import it into the supplied Roland Audio Key Software. Now, using the software, you can "assign" that file to a key on the FP7. Once you're ready, take a standard USB thumb drive (available at any office supply store) and save the files from the computer to that USB drive. Insert the drive into the front of the FP7, and you're ready. That audio file you worked with in the computer will now play when you touch the assigned key on the FP7! Maybe it sounds complex, but you'll get the hang of it quickly. For live performance or just practicing, this is a dramatic tool.
A Session Partner with 339 Tones...While the FP7 has a wonderful piano tone, it's just the start. There are 339 total sounds to play with in this "digital piano!" Push Play, and the FP7 starts your choice of 80 rhythm types with matching accompaniments. Each "session" runs through a series of chord progressions (the chord is displayed on the front LCD display) and it's your job to keep up with it. Play melodies, practice solos, learn new songs...it's like playing with an entire band.
Versatile...With its built-in speakers, the FP7 sounds quite good on its own. Plug in some additional powered speakers, and it sounds even better. You also have your choice of stands. The KSC44BK furniture stand is appropriate if you plan to keep your FP in your home or music studio. If you're going to play out, the FP easily comes off of that stand and can be placed on your choice of portable keyboard stands.
The features of the FP7 go on and on...metronome, General MIDI compatible (and GM2, GS, and XG lite), a song recorder, audio output and input jacks, two stereo headphone jacks, three pedal jacks, etc. But the joy is in the sound and feel. Many will buy this instrument strictly for the piano tone and feel. But if that isn't enough, the Session Partner and Audio Key feature might push you over the edge.
