Lexicon Core2 PCI Desktop Recording System Everybody has heard a Lexicon reverb. Listen to many of your favorite recordings, and we'll bet a Lexicon effects processor was used. The sound is simply superb! And now, Lexicon brings that sound quality to desktop computer recording with their Core2 audio card.
You'll use the Core2 as a way to input audio into your computer. And with the 4 1/4" inputs on the provided breakout box, you can ecord 4 tracks simultaneously. Lexicon has also given you 8 outputs, so you have many different routing options: send audio to your speakers, to a headphone amp, or anything else you can think of. And if you have an ADAT compatible recorder or device, there is an ADAT optical I/O to take in those signals! Very neat, and something completely unexpected at this price. Standard SP/DIF digital is also provided. All of this recording, by the way, is done at 24-bit.
But what about that Lexicon reverb I was talking about earlier? How does that fit in here? Add the MP-100 daughterboard designed for the Core2, and you'll instantly add a dual effects engine equivalent to Lexicon's MPX100 rack effects processor! And because it is an actual hardware expansion and not software, you won't use up valuable processing power when using those effects. Way to go Lexicon! Check out the Core2 if you're ready to record with your PC.
