Nord Piano 4 Inherits Flagship Features

Nord's Award-winning Stage Piano Gets Enhanced and Expanded for Its Fourth Generation

With the release of the Nord Piano 4, Nord completes a cycle of piano-oriented product rejuvenation that began with the Stage 3 almost exactly one year ago. Quite possibly one of the best in the industry when it comes to flagship features trickling down to the rest of their line, Nord is just coming off a refresh of the Electro that was announced back in January.

And now it's the Piano's turn.

Nord's fourth generation Piano keeps the Piano 3's 88-note Triple Sensor keybed and Virtual Hammer Action Technology, while expanding polyphony in the Piano section from 40/60 voices (stereo/mono) to 120 voices. The Piano 4's Factory Bank includes Nord's latest grands, uprights, electric, and digital pianos, and all sounds are replaceable with samples from the Nord Piano Library. Sample Synth Section polyphony has been extended significantly and memory doubled to 512 MB to accommodate the Nord Sample Library 3.0.

Inherited from the Stage 3 are Seamless Transitions, for smooth sound and program changes during performance, and Split Point Crossfade functionality, allowing for smooth transitions between two split zones at any of the Piano 4's seven available Split Points. Creative Piano Filters can be used to accentuate softness, mid, or brilliance. In addition to these performance-enhancing features, the Nord Piano 4 includes a refined Organize Mode for arranging and navigating programs, pianos, and synth samples, with Numeric Pad Mode for direct program access.

Nord expects the Piano 4 to begin shipping in Summer 2018. In the meantime, we'll be updating our Nord Piano 4 page with more details, videos, pricing, and bundles as they become available, so please check back for the latest information.
