Arturia MatrixBrute Analog Synthesizer
Arturia MatrixBrute is an analog synthesizer that redefines a class of performance and studio synths that has not been matched since the glory days of the 70s and 80s. Designed to be flexible and fun to use, evocative and awe inspiring and, most importantly, a world-class musical instrument, MatrixBrute gives you the depth you need to design and keep inspired for years to come. Offering three Brute oscillators, a Steiner-Parker filter and a ladder filter, five analog effects and the incredible modulation matrix, it is a massive sonic beast.
The 49-note keyboard features both velocity and aftertouch for a musical feel with plenty of expression. Pitch bend and mod wheels are also provided for more performance control.
The heart of MatrixBrute is its unique modulation matrix, which allows for complex modulation routing, step sequencing and instant preset recall. You can invent a sound palette of your own by easily creating your own internal routings. Assign any of 16 modulation sources to any of 16 mod destinations. Four destinations are user programmable and can be seen in the e-ink display. Set amounts of each modulation routing using the data encoder.
You can also use the matrix to recall your presets. In Preset mode the matrix allows you to recall any of 256 presets at the touch of a button. So go on stage and select your presets instantly! No menus or awkward selection screens — everything is at your fingertips
The matrix can also be used as a 64-step sequencer with separate STEP, ACCENT, SLIDE and MODULATION steps.
Three analog oscillators
Matrixbrute's oscillators offer sawtooth, pulse and triangle waves with the unique waveshapers that have become the trademark of the Brute sound. There is also a sub-oscillator on two of the Brute oscillators.
Combination VCO/LFO oscillator
The third oscillator can be used for both audio signals and LFO modulation at the same time. You do not have to choose either operation here so you can always have that big 3-oscillator sound.
Two standalone LFOs with seven waveforms and trigger modes allow for complex modulations. The combination VCO/LFO adds a third LFO to the system.
Matrixbrute has a noise generator with white, pink, red and blue noise types — the most versatile on the market!
Arturia upgraded their Steiner-Parker filter to support both 12dB per octave and 24dB per octave slopes as well as a drive control for making thicker sounds. The four modes — low pass, band pass, high pass and notch — allow for a vast array of sound making possibilities.
Arturia also includes a traditional beefy ladder filter with both 12dB and 24dB per octave slopes as well as low pass, high pass and band pass modes and a drive control. This filter design is known for making punchy bass and thick lead sounds.
The two filters can be patched in series or in parallel configurations.
Three envelope generators
The two ADSR envelopes and the third DADSR envelope give you plenty of sound sculpting tools.
The sequencer and arpeggiator add to the playability of MatrixBrute. Multiple modes of both the sequencer and arpeggiator allow for unlimited musical ideas to be realized.
True analog effects
To enhance your sonic pleasure, Arturia added an analog delay/chorus/flanger to the output with five operation modes. And yes, the controls in the analog effects can be set as modulation destinations in the matrix.
Control voltage interfacing
12 CV inputs and 12 CV outputs allow MatrixBrute to interface with standard 1V/octave modular synth gear.
Standard MIDI in, out and thru will connect you to both modern and vintage gear alike.
MatrixBrute is a truly empowering instrument! It offers tons of connections so you can work in any setup. It brings a quality keybed and a solid chassis with no endless menus or screens to navigate or multi-function buttons to remember. Forget about connectivity issues. This is you in control. This is you inventing sounds. This is analog avant-garde.

Arturia Hardware Warranty
Arturia hardware warranty is one year parts & labor, except for issues caused by the customer, such as mechanical/electrical damage, that are non-warranty.
All warranty repairs/exchanges are handled through the new Arturia Service Center in Bellingham, WA.
For warranty service, an RA# must first be obtained from Arturia.
Arturia will pay for return shipping of the repaired/exchanged product to the store/customer.
Arturia Service may charge a fee (restocking or return to dealer fee) for products that are received with 'no problem found' (returned to Arturia without being tested prior).
