- Planetary tuners and geared 5th string tuner
- Spikes installed at 7th, 9th and 10th frets
- Pressed-in nickel silver frets
- Steel coordinator rod
- 11" rim diameter, 13.875" resonator diameter
- Deering fiddle-shaped peghead with engraved Goodtime logo

Please note, Deering instruments use a coated top banjo head. The manufacturing process can leave overspray on the edge of the head which rubs off during normal use. This overspray can also be removed with a microfiber cloth.
Artisan Goodtime banjos epitomize Greg Deering's lifelong vision for the Deering Banjo Company: to make the best sounding, best playing, best looking and best value USA-made banjo that he possibly could. Pearloid vintage artisan style inlays pop off the Midnight Maple fingerboard, while the peg head is adorned with a beautifully engraved design.
Artisan Goodtime Special is an achievement in keeping costs down while providing an instrument that will stay in tune and perform reliably because it's made with precision by skilled American craftsmen. Made efficiently at the Deering factory in Spring Valley, CA, this is a comfortable banjo with a wonderfully bright tone, a solid, dependable instrument that is immensely playable with excellent tonality and clarity.
