Freight Shipping FAQ

My order is shipping by freight service - What does that really mean?

Freight shipments will differ in a few key areas when compared to standard small package services (UPS, FedEx, and USPS). First, and most importantly, these items are large and heavy which require additional care from our dock to your door. With freight shipments, you will receive tracking information, delivery directly to your home or business, and support from the Kraft Music team. Our freight partner, CEVA Logistics, will work with you to set up a delivery time, ensuring you will be home and available to sign for your delivery.



Freight - A Step By Step Guide

Step 1

Ready for Shipment

Once your order is complete, our team will carefully pack and ship within 24 hours. You will then be emailed additional shipping instructions.


Step 2

Tracking information emailed

You'll be provided with tracking information within 24 hours of your order leaving our facility. Use CEVA's website to receive updated status information on your shipments. You can also sign up for mobile notifications.


Step 3

Schedule Delivery

Within a few days of receiving your tracking information, your order will arrive at the nearest local shipping hub. Once that occurs, you will then be able to schedule your final delivery online. Deliveries take place on weekdays (Monday through Friday) within standard business hours and require a signature.


Step 4

Prepare for delivery

The driver will ensure that all packages are protected from the weather by placing them in the closest dry area. These include porches, garages, or just inside the threshold of the dwelling. It's always best to have a planned area cleaned out and accessible to receive the package ahead of the driver's arrival.


Step 5

Sign, Sealed and Delivered

On the date of the appointment, the driver will arrive within the stated delivery window. In most cases, the driver will call ahead to let you know when they are in your area. At the time of delivery, make a quick inspection of the packages and sign for your order.







ROOM OF CHOICE UPGRADE OPTION

Our free shipping promotion includes Threshold delivery for freight shipments, saving you $140.00 in shipping! The driver will ensure that all packages are protected from the weather by placing them in the closest dry area. These include porches, garages, or just inside the threshold of the dwelling.

For just $40 more, Room of Choice delivery is available for most freight shipments. This service includes delivery to any room in your home, up to two flights of stairs. Many premium home pianos (Yamaha Clavinova, Kawai CA series, and Casio Grand Hybrid) include this service at no additional charge. A few models, such as the Yamaha Clavinova CLP-665GP, CLP-695GP, CVP-709GP, the Yamaha AvantGrand series, and the Kurzweil KAG100 are not eligible for Room of Choice due to size and weight restrictions. What to do after taking delivery

Once you've taken delivery of your instrument, you are almost ready to play. Some instruments do require minimal assembly, and Kraft Music is here to help. We've produced assembly videos for many of our top selling products that will take you step by step through the process. We're also available by phone or chat for any additional assistance.

One important tip we also like to share with our customers: Save all boxes and packing material for a few weeks after delivery is made. If for any reason your item needs to be returned due to satisfaction or defect, the manufacturer boxes are essential for transportation. This will ensure the quickest and easiest solution.
