Korg Volca FM 2 is a powerful 6-voice, 6-operator FM synthesizer with all 32 classic algorithms, a 16-step loop sequencer, effects and a powerful arpeggiator that perfectly reproduces the sound of the classic Yamaha DX7 and is fully compatible with DX7 SysEx patches. Double power
With 6 voices, Volca FM 2 brings a new world of harmonic possibilities to your production. Now it's possible to play, sequence or arpeggiate complex chords with up to 6 voices in order to bring a unique flavor to your music production – no more running out of voices when sequencing melody, harmony and bass all in one device! Moreover, Volca FM 2 is velocity sensitive via MIDI, which provides a more expressive and nuanced playing experience.
More effects
By popular request, Volca FM 2 includes a lush reverb effect in addition to chorus. Each of these effects can be used and adjusted individually to add the finishing touch to any FM sound.
External sequencing and connectivity
In addition to MIDI input, Volca FM 2 also includes MIDI out (both on 1/8" TRS connectors), making it possible to use the intuitive Volca internal sequencer to control other devices via MIDI, making it the perfect addition to your standalone setup. Of course, it also works well with your DAW of choice thanks to note, control and clock receipt via the MIDI input.
Powerful sequencer and functions
The internal sequencer offers looping up to 16 steps, allowing you to record your performance on the touch panel keyboard as you play. Up to 16 sequence patterns can be stored in the internal memory. Volca FM 2 also incorporates a motion sequence function to record all the subtle nuances of your playing and knob movements in real time, letting you add time-varying changes to your sounds.
New program randomization and performance oriented functions
In order to spice things up, Volca FM 2 includes a program randomizer, letting you find new inspiration through happy accidents and unexpected patches. Of course, it still incorporates highly acclaimed functions such as warp active step, pattern chain and an improved arpeggiator, making it easy to create crazy looping rhythms and patterns.
Full classic SysEx compatibility
Volca FM 2 perfectly reproduces the sound engine of Yamaha DX7, the classic digital synthesizer that made the world aware of FM synthesis. Its 6 operators and 32 algorithms provide complete compatibility, and it can even load files in SysEx .SYX format.
Super-easy sound editing
Volca FM 2 makes FM sound editing accessible with the MODULATOR/CARRIER edit knobs; the knob movements are mapped to multiple parameters for sound changes that are easy to understand. FM enthusiasts can also menu dive into full parameter edits; Volca FM 2 even comes with a handy parameter list guide to help.

Korg USA Warranty Policy
All Korg products purchased from a Korg USA authorized dealer are warranted to be free from defects in material and workmanship to the original consumer for a period of one (1) year.
Register your new Korg keyboard, keyboard rack module or digital piano online and receive a certificate that extends the product warranty for an extra year from the date of purchase. Product must be registered within 90 days of purchase to receive an extra year of warranty.
Tuner and Metronome products are warranted to be free from defects in material and workmanship to the original consumer for a period of three (3) years.
Tubes, AC Adapters and Foot Switches are warranted to be free from defects in material and workmanship to the original consumer for a period of ninety (90) days.
The customer must provide proof of purchase in order to obtain warranty service. The dated sales slip or copy thereof is the only acceptable proof of purchase.
The product must be purchased from a Korg USA authorized dealer and have a valid serial number.
This warranty is valid only in the USA.
Damage resulting from the following causes are excluded from the warranty set forth above: misuse, including damage occurring during shipment, damage caused by battery leakage, accident, fire, unauthorized repairs, tampering, cosmetic damage or other types of damage which are the result of improper handling or abuse; the cleaning of controls or contacts due to exposure to dirty, dusty, or otherwise contaminated environment; damage resulting from modification; damage to units used for loan or rental.
