Perform great DJ sets
UR24C's dual monitor modes mean it is perfect for playing great DJ sets as well as for recording. In DJ mode you can choose between Split and Stereo monitoring, either outputting the mono master sound to the right side of the headphones and the mono cue sound to the left, or having both in stereo, using the Mix control to balance or mix as appropriate. Of course, UR24C's high quality components, rugged portability and seamless connection with computers or iOS devices via SuperSpeed USB 3.1 Gen 1 with USB-C mean you can play your sets anywhere and every beat is delivered in stunning detail.

In addition to its rugged, road-ready construction and high-quality, reliable performance, you can use its multiple outputs for providing click and guide tracks to band members while sending the stereo backing track to the FOH mixing desk. Support for Mac, PC and iOS allows for using a wide range of DAWs or any other multitrack playback application, while the MIDI connectors allow you to incorporate a wide range of hardware controllers for triggering loops and other sounds. UR24C is compatible with all major audio software supporting the Core Audio, ASIO or WDM standards, providing a fully integrated DSP-based monitoring setup wherever you are and with whichever DAW you use. Integrating seamlessly with and almost any DAW, UR24C delivers latency-free monitoring with DSP-powered effects via its onboard SSP3 DSP chip and Steinberg's latest dspMixFx technology.

Monitor modes
UR24C has two separate, switchable monitor modes: DAW and DJ. In DAW mode – used for producing music with a DAW – you can adjust the balance of the signals coming from the DAW and from UR24C's inputs. In DJ mode – optimized for performances with DJ software or backing tracks – you can choose either to output the mono master sound to the right side of your headphones with the mono cue sound to the left, or to have both in stereo and mix the two. The monitor mode is switched in the Setup window of the included dspMixFx UR-C application. In DAW mode the power indicator LED ring is lit white; in DJ mode it is lit red.

Latency-free monitoring with DSP effects
With built-in DSPs, UR24C provides zero-latency monitoring with effects for every DAW, with straightforward control of all routings and settings. Powered by Yamaha's custom-designed SSP3 DSP chip, you can enjoy all the benefits of dspMixFx technology. This offers latency-free monitoring, together with the highly acclaimed REV-X reverb, the Sweet Spot Morphing Channel Strip and Guitar Amp Classics for users of any DAW software. When using Cubase, all of the advanced monitoring capabilities are fully integrated into the application's GUI by True Integrated Monitoring technology and users can choose to control the monitoring capabilities either from Cubase or the dspMixFx application, while the dspMixFx UR-C mixing application allows control of all effects when the interface is used with any other audio software.

Loopback function for streaming
The Loopback function of UR24C offers an easy way of streaming performances live to the Internet. Often used by hosts of live online broadcasts, when the function is active, incoming audio signals to UR24C (such as microphone, guitar or line source) are merged with the signal coming from audio playback software or your DAW. The merged signal will then be sent back to the computer for online streaming via your software of choice. And with the onboard effects of UR24C you can tweak your sound, for example adding some reverb when doing online karaoke.

MIDI input and output
UR24C is equipped with a MIDI I/O port to connect any MIDI device, making it extremely flexible for studio recording. Many studios and musicians use MIDI input devices, classic sound modules, samplers and more as an integral part of their signature sound. The MIDI I/O on UR24C means that you can combine the latest audio interface technology with any MIDI device to ensure every aspect of your sound is just as you want it.

Steinberg North America ('SNA') a department of Yamaha Corporation of America ('Yamaha') is the exclusive authorized U.S. importer and distributor of Steinberg products. Only Steinberg hardware products designed and manufactured for the United States meet applicable product safety standards. Only SNA Authorized Dealers can provide new Steinberg hardware products with warranty coverage valid in the United States. Only SNA Authorized Dealers are trained to provide you with service and support before, during and after your purchase. Many retailers attempt to trade on the valuable reputation of the Steinberg name – before you buy from them, SNA would like you to know the potential risks of doing so.

Steinberg's electronic hardware products operate on normal alternating current. The importation, distribution and use of such products not designed for the United States can result in (a) damage to the product; (b) damage to household wiring; (c) fire; (d) loss of insurance coverage and, in some jurisdictions (e) violation of municipal ordinances. Further, any attempt to modify such products to enable them to operate on normal U.S. voltage and current may increase the above risks, and is also likely to void any non-U.S. warranty coverage as may have existed for the product.

SNA provides warranty coverage for new Steinberg products originally sold by Authorized Dealers located in the United States. All Steinberg hardware product qualifies for a 1 year warranty, including parts and labor.

Please read the Owner’s Manual completely. The information provided in this manual covers installation, operation, safety precaution and, where applicable, routine maintenance.

Should warranty service be required, you will need to be able to provide reasonable proof of purchase. Please save your sales receipt or other similar document. In the case of contractor–installed equipment, a photocopy of the site acceptance document would be considered acceptable.

Notify your SNA Dealer of any alleged defect promptly upon discovery or contact SNA Support directly.

Products not specifically marketed for installation in areas exposed to the elements (sun, wind, rain, etc.) are not covered for defects that are attributable to this type of installation.

Products sold by retailers or sound contractors NOT authorized by SNA to sell Steinberg hardware products and those products whose trademark, name or identification numbers have been altered or removed are not covered by this warranty.

Product failures that are the result of abnormal strain, negligence, misuse, improper installation or operation, or failure to follow instructions contained in the owner’s manual. Abuse, modification, or accidental damage are not covered by this warranty.

RFI/EMI (interference/noise) caused by improper grounding or the improper use of either certified or uncertified equipment is not covered by this warranty.

Products that have been, or have attempted to have been, repaired by anyone other than SNA or a party authorized by Steinberg.

This warranty is applicable for product purchased and used in the fifty (50) states of the USA and the District of Columbia only. It is not applicable in the possessions or territories of the USA or in any other country. This is the only express warranty which Yamaha makes in connection with the above listed products. Any implied warranty applicable to these products, including the warranty of merchantability, is limited to the duration of the express warranty. Yamaha excludes and shall not be liable in any event for incidental or consequential damages. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty may last. Therefore, these limitations and exclusions may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may also have other rights which vary from state to state.
