Taylor BBT Big Baby Taylor Acoustic Guitar - Natural
Big Baby Taylor has long been a mainstay for developing acoustic players seeking a comfortable, smooth-playing guitar that will help them grow their skills and learn to make music. Built to a slightly smaller scale than a full-size acoustic guitar, Big Baby's solid spruce top provides rich acoustic tone in a package that's perfect for students and players who need a reliable practice option that isn't too precious to take on the road. Ships with a padded gig bag.
Big Baby shape
Slightly bigger than a Baby Taylor but just shy of a full-size guitar, Big Baby Taylor is ideal for easy-playing, great-sounding guitar fun. The overall size keeps you in the 'portable' category, yet provides an extra dose of volume and fullness. Big Baby has an arched back that provides strength and contributes to its big tonal output.
Sitka spruce top wood
As a guitar soundboard, Sitka spruce is the tonewood standard of the modern era. Its combination of strength and elasticity translates into a broad dynamic range, yielding crisp articulation and allowing for everything from aggressive strumming and flatpicking to fingerpicking.
Layered walnut body wood
Layered walnut provides a strong backbone, adding subtle touches of high-end sparkle together with midrange presence. An outer layer of walnut is overlaid onto a poplar core with a layer of sapele on the other side.
There's a lot to be said for the clean, traditional look of a non-cutaway acoustic guitar. If you don't plan to play in the upper register or simply prefer the symmetrical hourglass contours of a guitar, a non-cutaway model is a great option.
