A marvel of scaled-down design, the GS Mini is a fun little acoustic cannon that has taken the world by storm. Sporting a rich, full voice that belies its compact size, the Mini is ultra-portable, yet just as comfortable to cradle in the comfort of your home, making it the ultimate modern-day parlor guitar. Featuring the easy-playing, patented Taylor neck, this edition of the Mini incorporates a solid mahogany top that yields a strong, evenly balanced response for lively strumming. And with the easy-to-add ES-Go pickup, you'll have a viable performance tool, too.
GS Mini Body Shape - The award-winning GS Mini was designed to be the ultimate musical companion, wherever you go - or stay. Inspired by the big, bold sound of Taylor's GS body shape, the Mini scales things down without skimping on sound, packing a ton of tone into a comfortable travel size and giving you a guitar that's full-voiced and incredibly fun to play. Think of the Mini as a modern-day parlor guitar, perfect for playing around the house but also built to fit an active lifestyle.
Sitka Spruce Top - The soundboard choice for most guitars, Sitka spruce produces a broad dynamic range and accommodates a versatile range of playing styles.
Layered Sapele Back and Sides - Taylor's layered backs and sides incorporate three layers of wood, featuring a middle core of poplar with a veneer on each side. While layered woods won't produce quite as complex a sound as solid woods, they allow a blend of exotic looks with climate-resilient construction.
ES-Go Electronics (available separately) - The ES-Go is an aftermarket, passive magnetic soundhole pickup that was developed specifically for the GS Mini. Anyone can install it in minutes with just a screwdriver thanks to the pre-fitted connecting bracket inside the guitar. Pair it with the V-Cable, which features a built-in volume control on the cord.
Non-Cutaway Design - There's a lot to be said for the clean, traditional look of a non-cutaway acoustic guitar, which is why we offer a line of non-cutaway models. If you don't plan to play in the upper register, or simply prefer the symmetrical hourglass contours of a guitar, a non-cutaway model is a great option.
Taylor Hard Bag Included - The Taylor Hard Bag blends the protective properties of a hard case with the lightweight portability of a gig bag. It features a tan, 600-denier exterior and a 70-denier interior that's reinforced at the peghead and tail end. Supportive structure includes rigid PVC sidewalls, full-length Correx/EPE foam hard top and back, and an EPE foam neck rest with a hidden internal pocket.
