The Gen 16 AE Cymbal System is a paradigm shift in cymbal design. Features include patented, low volume acoustic cymbals. A radically new “pickup” that utilizes a patentpending, dual-head mini microphone design. A Digital Cymbal Processor (DCP) with preset tone shaping and audio mixing capabilities. Each kit includes a dampening pin for each cymbal. This pin can be placed in any hole to reduce overtone, shorten decay, and lower the fundamental pitch of the cymbal.
AE Boxed systems include everything you need to get started. Choose from several add-on sizes and types of AE Cymbals which include Crashes, HiHats, Chinas, Splashes and more...
Zildjian R&D has created the next generation of a reduced volume cymbal, the Gen16 Buffed Bronze series. Using the knowledge gained from the original Gen16 nickel plated cymbal, Zildjian craftsmen used their knowledge and rich design history to improve the sound and performance of the Gen16 reduced volume acoustic cymbal. Additionally, the new Buffed Bronze finish is stunning and helps to produce a warmer tone than the original Gen16 nickel plated cymbal.

Zildjian Cymbals Limited Warranty
Zildjian cymbals carry a two (2) year warranty, from date of purchase, against manufacturing flaws. Zildjian requires that all cymbals for warranty replacement be returned to Zildjian for review. Quality is important to Zildjian and Zildjian uses these opportunities to track the manufacture of the cymbal in question to ensure quality continues to improve.
Please contact Zildjian Customer Service for a return authorization number (RA #). Once you have your RA#, please return the cymbal to Zildjian.
Please enclose a copy of your original purchase receipt with your cymbal, as this is vital in determining the warranty period. Stores normally keep these on file if you need to obtain one. For online orders, a printout including date of purchase and the item will suffice. In the event you can't acquire a receipt, Zildjian can look up your cymbal's age by the laser-etched serial number to determine if it's still under warranty.
A cymbal will not be replaced if it has been misplayed/abused, dropped, played with excessive force or has pieces broken off. Cymbals bought second hand or used in a lease program, or are more than two years beyond date of purchase are not covered under warranty.
Please package your broken cymbal in a clean box from your local Post Office or UPS Store. Do not use pizza boxes or anything similar. Cymbals returned in anything other than clean packing may be returned to sender unopened. Please allow 6-8 weeks for your replacement cymbal.
